The "Concerts in the Park" summer series sponsored by Skowhegan Savings Bank began on Thursday, June 4, 2009 and will run all summer, with the last concert being held on September 3, 2009. Concerts will be held at the gazebo in Memorial Park every Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. Please note that a concert WILL NOT be held on July 2, 2009.

The annual Senior Citizens Appreciation Day will be held on Wednesday, August 19 at Mill Island Park beginning at 10:00 AM. Lunch will be served from 12:00 - 1:00. Tickets for the event will be available at the Town Clerks office beginning July 2, 2009. There is no fee for senior citizens (age 60+) of Fairfield. The fee for non-resident seniors is $5.00.

 

Fairfield Senior Circle: meets at the Victor Grange in Fairfield Center the 3rd Friday of each month for lunch, socializing, activities, and education of Senior Issues. Potluck lunch will be held at noon. Everyone is welcome, no membership required, just bring a dish to share.  If you want to join us, have questions or need a ride please call Barbara 453-9476 or 631-3616.

Fairfield Interfaith Food Pantry: open every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 21 High Street, Fairfield.

Pet Food Pantry: open every 4th Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Victor Grange in Fairfield Center (on the corner of Routes 104/139 and Route 23). FMI or to donate call 409-5904.

Lamb's Clothing Closet: Located at the First Baptist Church on Newhall Street in Fairfield. Open Monday 10-12, Tuesday 1-3 & Thursday 1-3.

Fairfield Center United Methodist Church Soup & Sandwich Social: Second Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. FREE. For more information call 465-9291.
