The Town of Fairfield assumes an active role in planning for economic and community development. A Council-appointed Commission has developed a Strategic Plan that outlines the immediate priorities and goals of the Town's Economic & Community Development Program.

Implementation of the Strategic Plan is guided by the Economic/Community Development Advisory Committee with support from the Fairfield Economic Development Corporation (FEDC).
