Planning & Development
Planning and development in the Town of Fairfield is largely influenced by the approved municipal Comprehensive Plan, which has shaped the current municipal Land Use Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance. These ordinances are periodically reviewed by the Planning Board and amended as necessary at the discretion of the Town Council.
The Office of Code Enforcement is responsible for reviewing and permitting Residential, Commercial, and Industrial development activities.
The Office of Economic and Community Development is responsible for municipal planning activities, and developing and maintaining economic and community development programs.
