Economic & Community Development Advisory Committee
The Economic/Community Development Advisory Committee is a "citizens" committee with open membership to all Fairfield residents, business owners, and educators who have a vested interest in community development. Anyone is welcome to attend the regular meetings and sign up for email updates to stay informed about current developments in the community.
The committee usually meets monthly at the Fairfield Community Center. Check the Calendar of Events for upcoming meetings.
Steering Committee
The Committee as a whole is led by a steering committee made up of six (6) members who are appointed by the Town Council to a three (3) year term, staggered so that two members are appointed each year. When there is a permanent vacancy, the Town Council appoints a new member for the remainder of the unexpired term. The Steering Committee is responsible for holding regular meetings and overseeing the implementation of the Town's strategic and comprehensive plans by appointing sub-committees to address certain projects or tasks.
